POLICIES

  • CLUB

    • Stay home if you have COVID-19, or symptoms associated with COVID-19 (cough, sore throat, fever, chills, and shortness of breath), or have recently been tested for COVID-19.

    • Stay home if you have you been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 or its symptoms.

    • Stay home if your temperature is above 100.4o F (38.0o C)

    • No cell phone calls in the Club except for the Deli or Lounge area. No use of cameras in the locker rooms.

    • No camera phones allowed in locker areas.

    • Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult to enter the facility.

    • Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult while in the Locker Room.

    • Children 5 and over must use the same sex locker room. Escorts are available at the front desk if needed.

    • No open-toe shoes are allowed except in the Yoga Studio, Locker Rooms, or Pool areas.

    • Cardio Theater is offered on most of our cardio machines. The channel number displayed under the television indicates which channel number to select. Please bring your own earphones and always make sure to carefully use the theater equipment.

    • No smoking or vaping on Chico Sports Club property.

  • MEMBERSHIP

    • Contracts Paid Monthly: All contracts that are paid on a monthly basis are 12-month contracts. After 12 months, the contract automatically rolls over to a month-to-month contract and may be cancelled with 30 Day Advance Notice. Unless the member terminates his or her membership as set forth in the paragraphs below, all members are responsible for the duration of the contract agreement. There are no refunds of any sort, dealing with membership or programming at CSC. Your dues/fees are not based on usage and any change of status is the member’s responsibility.

    • Dues and other charges are due on the first day of each month. A late fee of $10.00 will be charged to the member’s account for any unpaid balance after the 10th of the month. Email statements and paper statements are sent near the 25th of each month for the following month’s dues. Monthly statements are sent as a courtesy. EFT MEMBERS: An electronic funds transfer will be deducted on the 1st business day of the month. Courtesy debit notices are not sent to members. A fee of $20.00 will be charged to member’s account if EFT is denied or declined for any reason. A $5 Statement Processing Fee is added to any contract for paper statements.

    • Cancellation Policy: Member acknowledges that he/she cannot cancel the agreement before his/her minimum term has expired. However, CSC will waive the contract agreement period ONLY if a cancellation fee of $99.00 is paid, for any reasons, before the end of the agreement. Members will be allowed to cancel their contracts, with proof, under the following exceptions: becoming disabled, death, or moving more than 25 miles from CSC.

    • Prepaid Contracts: All prepaid contracts have an exact expiration date, either 3, 6, or 12 months from the start date. All prepaid contracts must be paid in full on the date of signing. Unless the member terminates his or her membership as set forth in the paragraphs below, all members are responsible for the duration of the contract agreement. There are no refunds of any sort, dealing with membership or programming at CSC. Your dues/fees are not based on usage, and any change of status is the member’s responsibility. There are NO REFUNDS for any prepaid memberships. Prepaid memberships may be sold and transferred only with approval of CSC.

    • Status Change: Any holds, cancellations, deletions, additions, or any other changes to your current membership term require a 30-Day Advance Notice. All paperwork must be completed by the Primary Member by the 1st of the month. Absolutely no retroactive changes will be permitted. Primary Member must come into Membership or Billing, have a zero balance and be current regarding payment of dues to complete the appropriate forms to make any changes to their account.

    • Placing Your Account on Hold: Members are allowed to place their account on hold in increments of 30-day periods. Any vacation or non-medical hold is $15 per month. A medical hold is a $15 total fee, but must be accompanied with a doctor’s note. A hold placed the entire account on hold, not just one member. The hold also extends out the expiration date of your contract (ie. If you put it on hold for 2 months, then your expiration date is extended out 2 months.)

  • FITNESS CENTER

    • No one under 14 years old allowed in free weight area.

    • No one under 11 years old allowed on the Fitness Floor. Children ages 11-14 must be accompanied by an adult.

    • Proper workout clothing and athletic shoes must be worn at all times. Street clothes and open-toed shoes are not allowed. No jeans please. The rivets damage equipment upholstery.

    • Please be respectful of others and wipe all perspiration from all equipment after use. Place used towels in appropriate bins.

    • Instruction and/or personal training is to be performed by Chico Sports Club Trainers only.

    • No equipment may leave the weight room. Please put all bars, plates, and dumbbells in their proper place.

  • GROUP EXERCISE

    • Please secure all of your belongings in the locker room before beginning class.

    • Closed-toed shoes are required to participate in most group exercise classes (with the exception of Yoga, Pilates and stretch classes). Aerobic or cross-training shoes are recommended.

    • In order to minimize disruptions, please arrive to class on time and remain for the duration of class. Please do not enter the studio before the current class has finished.

    • Please do not reserve spots or equipment for other members.

    • Please keep conversations to a minimum during classes.

    • Cell phone use is not permitted during class.

    • Water may be taken into classes as long as it is in an enclosed and unbreakable container. Please no open containers or cups.

    • Please wipe down equipment when you are done and put equipment back in its designated place.

    • Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne in the gym.

    • Please inform the instructor of any health considerations (pregnancy, recent surgeries, or illnesses) so that they can provide modifications to your workout.

    • Children age 11 and up accompanied by a parent may attend group exercise classes that do not involve weights.

    • Members may not use club stereo equipment.

    • All classes are drop-in, no advance registration is required.

  • SPINNING

    • Please do not reserve bikes for others.

    • Closed-toed shoes are required for taking spin classes.

    • Cell phone use is not permitted during class.

    • Water may be taken into classes as long as it is in an enclosed and unbreakable container. Please no open containers or cups.

    • Please wipe down your bike after class using the provided disinfectant spray and towels.

    • Keep conversations to a minimum during class.

    • Do not wear perfume or cologne to class.

    • Come early to class if you need the instructor’s assistance in setting up the bike so that they may be able to start class on time.

    • Please inform the instructor of any health considerations (pregnancy, recent surgeries or illnesses) so that they can make modifications to your workout

    • Members may not use stereo equipment

  • POOL

    • No children under 14 years old without an adult.

    • No running, horseplay, diving, glass containers, or food/drinks.

    • No water wings or other non-approved life vests.

    • No children 5 years old and up allowed in opposite gender locker rooms.

    • Please shower prior to entering any body of water.

    • Dress in acceptable swim apparel: no cut-offs or thongs.

    • Dress infants in swim diapers

    • Yield to class times.

    • Two lanes will be reserved in the Lap Pool during class times. In the case of 14 or more students, three lanes will be reserved.

  • CHILDCARE

    • Children between the ages of 6 weeks and 13 years are welcome in the Childcare Department.

    • Children on the membership: 2 free hours per day, per child. Children not on the membership and/or guests: $10.00 per hour, per child.

    • Parents MUST remain on the premises at all times.

    • Children can only stay in Childcare for a MAXIMUM of 2 hours.

    • When arriving at Childcare, children need to be fed, dry, and properly dressed (including shoes).

    • All children in the Childcare Department must have a minor waiver, and a release on file that is to be filled out by the parent or legal guardian at the time of membership sign up. These forms are also in the Childcare Department.

    • Reservations can be made up to 24 hours in advance. We cannot guarantee reservations.

    • Drop-Ins will be accepted upon availability.

    • We allow for a 10-minute grace period on arrivals. After 10 minutes, your reservations will be made available for another individual.

    • Childcare closes promptly at the times listed above and may close earlier if is no reservations have been made for the last ½ to 1 hour before scheduled closing.
